for me it has to be Paul Oakenfold back in 1998-99 have never looked back.. Trance is where my heart is
Said it no better for me. i actually heard 2 cds at once and it was George Acosta(Awake) and Oakey(Tranceport). they both were good but i just new that i wanted to be at the parties Oakey was headlining at. dont get me wrong i think that Acosta was(is) awsome but i new at that moment Oakey was a legend and thats how i learned to love and feen for Trance.....................
I had been listening to bands like New Order since 84 and started loving more of the electronica and techno in the late 80s and 90s...easily accessible stuff like the KLF, Shamen, 808 State, Underworld and so on...then I heard PvD "Seven Ways" in 96, Oakie's Tranceport soon after...combine that with seeing Keoki in LA back in 96 and it's been love ever since...now I spread the trance love to kids in the youth group at the church where I work...bought turn tables this year to spread the love even more...creating more trance addicts.

I happened to see Atb live at a club one night and decided to check him out. Liked his stuff and wanted to delve further. Looked into PvD and purchased "Global" It was over at that point! It has been love for me since then, for PvD, then Tiesto, Armin, Ferry, Okenfold, Above & Beyond, Starkillers, Nu NRG, I could keep going. I love Electronic Music its all I listen to.

When I was 13 I went to a house club in Serbia, and fell in love with EDM. When I came back to Canada, I couldnt find edm anywhere, but as soon as I heard Paul Oakenfold, and Paul Van Dyke, back in like 01', I was in love. Soon, trance and house slowly phased out rap and hip hop to take my heart. I gotta say tho, what really moved from house to trance as tiesto's nyana. DAMN! still love that cd!
Before Trance, they called that style: mellow. Trance started since 1996. The Push of Tiësto made Trance Worldwide.
I did like Progressive and Mellow from sets of Jimmy van M. After Innercity I bacame also a fanatic Trance fan. But loved Progressive. My Dance experience started at 1989 in Amsterdam in the secret parties in old fabric's. Dance=House. There was no Trance. House was: Happy Hardcore.
