First time I heard Trance wasn't really too long aga, had always heard general trance classic etc. But I listened (by sheer chance) to the Trance Energy 2006 Essential Mix (Armin van Buuren & Judge Jules sets) and LOVED it. Later that year I went to Global Gathering, which was my first ever dance music event, and it has been hard to match the benchmark it set, lol. Then numerous Godskitchen outings, culminating with a night there to see Judge Jules and Armin Van Buuren play there at Xmas. Been chassing down DJ's ever since (although having broadened to most areas of dance music now too).

Can't recall but I think I got into it in the early 2000's. First started listening to the cheesey stuff: alice deejay, milk inc etc then got hold of more decent albums like atb and tiesto.
I moved over to the harder darker side for a few years. Hard house and hard trance 150+ bpm's!
Got tired of that after a couple of years and now I'm back with trance since about 2007. And that's the way its going to stay :)
I was downloading a lot of classic dance songs and went on I-Tunes to check out newer releases. I discovered "Reflections" by Paul Van Dyk, my first trance album. From that point onward, it was love. I was 20, I think.
Well,I went to a party with Shane 54 because I thought it was gona be a house party... I slowly started to like the music... Next week I went on Ferry Corsten party and I was hooked...
Always dabbled a bit but really it was Above and Beyond releasing "satellite" that got me really into trance in the last few years. Paul Van Dyk and Gareth Emery really fuel my passion for trance too.
''I had been listening to bands like New Order since 84 and started loving more of the electronica and techno in the late 80s and 90s...easily accessible stuff like the KLF, Shamen, 808 State, Underworld and so on''
I loved The Shamen and KLF , i also had a Sven Vath tape from 1993 and Carl Cox tapes from that era too , then Oaky in the mid-late 90's . Tiesto when he was good in the late 90's along with PvD and tracks like Armin - Blue Fear , Marmion Schoneberg , PvD - For An Angel , Binary Finary 1998 and a load more i dont have time to mention.
Work calls , have a good day all .
