I was surprised to find that there are a few threads concerning favorite tracks/sets, but none (at least none that turned up when I did a search using seemingly reasonable keywords) concerning tracks you hate, hate, hate (for those wondering, that's a variation on the title of book by Roger Ebert), especially since - at least for me - one bad track can ruin a whole multi-hour set.
Now there are quite a lot of tracks I could do very well without, but which are no set-killers all by themselves. And of course, many of the tracks I don't like aren't particularly popular among DJs and audiences, so they won't pop up in that many sets.
There's a select few, however, that manage to annoy me to death (OK, almost), while seemingly being a favorite among the kind of DJs I usually listen to. And that royally sucks, to put it mildly.
For 2005, by far the worst track in that respect was "Say Hello" by Deep Dish. I don't like the kind of vocals they use in their mixes and productions to begin with, but the ones in "Say Hello" are off the scale, and my scale goes to 11.
For 2004, it probably was "Jump the Next Train" by Young Parisians, a track seemingly everyone loved. Except me, that is. Oh well.
On the positive side, 10% of 2006 are already over, and I haven't yet encountered a track I hated. Always look on the bright side of life.

I agree, it only needs a couple off dodgy tunes to ruin what appeared to be a good liveset! groovedaddy is correct SOS by Fitterfunk i think, what a pile of steaming turd! Never liked the Police anyway

Yes, "SOS" is one of those tracks that I'd rather avoid, though it probably won't ruin an otherwise acceptable set all on its own. Oh, and I forgot to mention Tiësto's "Adagio for Strings".

SOS was definitely a bad tune - and for some reason, Armin kept playing it. Jump the Next Train made no sense to me - I liked the melody the first 1/2 dozen times I heard it, but the words and excessive play ruined it for me.
On Friday night I heard a remix of Psuedo Echo's "Funky Town". It was terrible. Ironically, however, people seemed to enjoy the "throwback" tune, and piled onto the dance floor. Ugh.

LOL i have to 100% completely agree with everyone hear those tunes that have been mentioned would have most deffinelty been my worst tunes. BUt the key word is 'have' for some reason djs consistantly keep on playing them and they have gradually grew on me, every single of those tune i now like, not the best tunes in the world but they are now okay.

I just realized that I simply can't stand Ben Lost's singing, after listening to Probspot's "Blow my Mind" and also hating it solely (or at least mostly) because of the vocals.

totally agree with you guys, the three tracks ("S.O.S.", "Jump The Next Train" and "Say Hello") suck... of old tracks I would add tiesto's Traffic...
HOWEVER, Daytrader, what concerns Jump The Next Train, the first version of it I heard was Bobina's Remix... man, was that hot and shocking... I still love it... when I started searching I found Original Mix, Kyau vs. Albert, Probspot and Solarstone Remixes... guys that stuff almost killed my first impression of the track
so, I strongly recommend you to get Bobina's remix in case you ain't heard it... at least it's the best remix for the track

Thanks for the pointer, I'll see if I can get my hands on it. You're of course right about a bad remix easily being able to ruin an otherwise fine track.

Yes, that's also one of the tracks I strongly dislike because of its vocals.

I actually liked that track. The singing in the live version in PvDs collaboration with the Movie Orchestra Babelsberg (for a show called "Feinkost", but I've seen it being listed as "Orchestral Show"), was pretty horrible IMHO, however (as was pretty much the whole show, thanks to a commentator talking way too much between tracks - it might actually be more bearable if you don't understand German).
