Let’s get straight to business. A lot of DJs here use websites as MegaUpload, Rapidshare, Uploaded.to and many others. I think that I wouldn’t be telling lies if I said that a lot of people don’t like downloading from those websites, because of waiting lines, advertisements and, for a lot of people at least, slow download speeds.

There is however a free alternative for DJs who want to upload their mixtapes, receive a download URL / streaming URL and have no limitations on either quality or quantity:

What do we do:

I started this website because I like listening to other DJs mixtapes. Therefor I spend a lot of time on forums etc just to collect those which I like. I therefor have to download a lot of sets, all from those annoying websites I just mentioned.

Is-Music gives you a spot to upload them all, manage them all and be sure that they won’t have any lame ‘retention time’ or ‘have to have X downloads in X weeks’ just to stay online!

What you get:

- One upload every 6 days
- A filesize limit of 150MB (That is more than one hour of 320KBps audio!)

Note, this is per mixtape, you have unlimited FTP space
- A download speed between 400KBps and 1MBps (If your ISP supports that)
- A DJ profile on the website (Will be updated with a new layout soon)

I can only say that it's one of the best upload sites I stumbled on last year. Since then I have been in contact with mr. Is-Music himself to get all the nice features and stuff on there for you people to make use of!

Now the site is great and after the total makeover it will be better and probably a one of a kind DJ site!

For amateur (but also big name) DJ's I can't think of a better site than this to upload and spread your mixes!

This might sound as a commercial/advertising post but it's all through!

I have noticed when Downlaoding from this site it seems to run a bit smoother than others

Depending on the subscription of the DJ (Or yours) you can get up to 1MBps.

Indeed :). Also, we don't have the xx seconds waiting time between downloads and other stuff which take time. It should be a really smooth process :D

Never knew of is-music before today...and to think, I just uploaded to Mega...

Yes everything went very well! I had to wait until my first upload was completed before obtaining DJ status but everything is perfect now! Will be using is-music for all of my DJ sets!

Yeah, that waiting time is because we check all the files which enter the server. We had some bad files in the past (pornography, stuff that could compromise our website etc) and we screen that this way.

It'll be different when we introduce the new website, you'll be able to get a 'trusted' status which will get your mixtapes available right away!
