DJ Mag 2010 Voting.

Voting is now OPEN for DJmag Top 100 DJs 2010!

DJmag Top 100 DJs made a welcome return to the dance music calendar this week and votes are already flooding in from all angles. Over 350,000 votes were cast last year from over 230 countries, and we predict things to get even bigger and even crazier as the poll goes on...  And with voting running right through until the 23rd September that’s a LOT of opinions to count! Armin Van Buuren stole the crown last year for the 3rd time in a row, followed by Tiesto in 2nd place and David Guetta in 3rd, but this could well be the year that things get shaken up...

As Dubstep blows up to insane levels worldwide there is a very real chance that the likes of Skream, Benga and Caspa could make their Top 100 debuts in 2010. Not to mention the blazing return of the more disco influenced house that has opened up the scene to a myriad of new names over the last few months such as Aeroplane and Tensnake.

Also, the last year in dance has welcomed back (with open arms may we add) the more stalwart old school names such as Derrick Carter, who has been more in demand than most this past year, and Detroit and Chicago house influences have been noted in many a DJs set. This has also been the year for spectacular, sensory stimulating shows such as Richie Hawtin’s ‘Plastikman’, not to mention the insane amount of festivals cropping up all over the globe helping to launch the more unknown names into the spotlight.

As always, the DJmag Top 100 DJs is voted for SOLELY by you, each voter receives the chance to enter their Top 5 names into the voting form and votes will be audited at the end of the poll. Plus for the first time ever this year we feel it’s necessary to hold 2 final parties on the 27th October, one in the North and one in the South so as many of you as possible can get involved in the always massive rave up! A chance for you to not only find out who won but also listen to world class DJ sets from other artists who have made the list.

So get your votes in now and help shape the next 12 months in dance music, your favourite DJs can’t get to the top on their own, they need you to get behind them! Think long and hard as you only get one shot (I.P addresses will be logged so as to ensure a fair result) and begin the countdown to the jaw dropping DJmag Top 100 DJs parties this October!
