Let's see. I still have my pair of sony mdrv6's and they work great except for the foam degreation in the pads. My mdr-v700's are a work horse however, I have had to do a little repair on the plastic from them being pulled apart from mixing. Next up.....my Shure ear buds. It's amazing the frequency response these have. For around $300.00 i found a set that tucked nicely into my ear (without falling out) and provided me with passive noise canceling (no hardware or software) and these are towards the bottom of the scale in respect to what Sure has to offer.

i have the sony mdr v700...personally i think they are a great choice..the sound is clear and bass is full sounding..they will perform as loud as you can handle...they are a bit on the heavier side though so aftter wearing them for a while you'll notice...the ear padding double as a great sponge too..ive seen car cox literally ring out his headphones while in the middle of a set..and it was kinda gross to see how much sweat accually was soaked into his headphones..lol
