Use "Virtual Dj" and you wont have any problems (if you are mixing on a computer of course)!! :smt002

Guys, if you are trying to mix on your pc, it is not the same. i too tried that b4 buying the equipment and found it was to difficult for me. I then bought a couple of stanton str8-80s and a korg km2 chaos mixer. I then had to get some records. If you wnat to use cds however, Numark makes a nice little mixer that has two cds and a mixer built in. the only thing you need is a stereo with a rca audio input and a set of headphones. I have this one it is called the cdmix 2 and it works great. i paid $389.00 for it from guitar center. I had to get new shit cause my old shit got destroyed,(whole nother story there). Actual price is like $499 but i printed off a price from a site like price grabber and took it to guitar center and they had to give it to me for that price, cause they have the lowest price guarantee. Anyways if you got about 400 dollars i suggest this one cause it is easy to use and the best function for beat matching is the stutter button, which restarts the song at your specified point. WHich means you can keep hitting that button and adjusting your pitch to match the beat! when you get close you just use the jog wheel to get it exact!
I am not the best dj by far and i still have problems with my transistions, but beat matching does get easier with the hands on experiences by far!
DONT GIVE UP! :smt020

I know its not the same djing with the computer and know it might be easier doing it with the appropate equipment, but for teh moment i don't have 400 and i would have to order it as in my country they don't sell those.. At least i believe so..
So guess for teh moment i'll try with software... See if i can understand and if i can get this done... If not i will not spend money in something i might not be natural at... But still thanks for the recommendation...

I think it may be a bit hard to learn Traktor 3 without having any prior experience. Traktor 3 was invented to mimic a setup similar to the newest Xone mixer (XONE:92), which al of the top dj's are using now.
It is much more complicated than a usual DJM-600 setup simply because they added a dual filter along with an extra Mid Level Channel.
If you can't learn with an actual mixer and turntable setup, then I would suggest using Traktor 2 instead of Traktor 3. Traktor 2 is much more simplified and you are able to produce the same sound quality and mixing transitions as Traktor 3 (as long as you are good with your beat matching).
If you have any specific questions with Traktor, don't hesitate to ask as I am quite familiar with the software because I've played around with it a couple times.
I also found that software is best for slower progressive type of music, once you get to 138 bpm and higher, it becomes much harder to use your mouse/touchpad to do all the things you want in such a small period of time. Almost like mixing with one hand!

Also forgot to mention that Traktor 3 has 4 turntables instead of 2, adding to a bigger headache for people who haven't used it before!
